Good Ole K-Town

My childhood was magic. Pure magic.

In large part because of Bill and Coco. Iconic duo. Grandparents extraordinaire.

I don't have the adequate adjectives right now to describe them. Someday I'll write a whole book dedicated to their characteristics and lives.

I spent four perfect days with them and my mom and dad and siblings last week.

Bill is recovering from hip surgery like Superman.

And my dad's parents, Grandma and Grandpa. They're equally good and magical and kind and generous and fun and caring. My grandma was in an awful accident at the end of the summer and used one of her nine lives to survive and thrive.

Xanthe let me use her fancy new eye liner on her and I think she looks fierce!

Tizzy (I mean Tamantha, Tammy for short) did our nails at her salon

My dad and his incomparable book collection at his law office (he also has a huge bookcase at his home) -- he even has a section dedicated to books we've read in our Father-Daughter bookclub
For Xanthe's sister date, we went to Barnes and Noble and got her a poetry book. This kid can WRITE. She's gorgeous.

Visited my mom's violin repair shop. I loved seeing it in person after getting peaks in Marco Polo videos. I love all her artwork and reminders. She's been refining her varnish skills, which is fascinating and beautiful and seems really difficult.
Enjoyed Bill and Coco's lovely kitchen.

Celi took me as a guest to her gym and we saunaed and hot tubbed and got drinks at the coffee truck, The Lost Alaskan. Next time I'm getting Celi's pick - strawberry matcha with kefir!

Gma and Gpa brought Grandma's famous chocolate chip cookies. Don't they look fabulous!?

We moved Bill's office things in and got his library in order. He's working on his autobiography! Isn't the library an absolute DREAM?
I mean...
Bill as a young chap
Hi Mike! Ruby and I visited Mike (who's all grown up now) in Thailand last spring
Ruby being adorable. She chopped her hair this same week (she's road tripping in South Africa) so this was relevant
Coco and her babe friends
Mom, Ruby, Big Golda, Little Golda
Bill and Coco (and a woman I don't know) being 70s chic
hahahaha
Have I mentioned how Bill and Coco eloped to Switzerland?! They're actual models!

Coco and her twin brother - Mark and Mary

They once had these magnificent Afghan dogs that were cute and a lot of work. Starry (named after the legal principle stare decisis and Toddy named after the boozy drink Hot Toddy)

I didn't get any photos of the million trips to Smith's I took with Tolly to get really cool toy cars.
